Unless people literally begin starving or there’s mass unemployment I don’t think “technical recession” means much.
“Awmuhgod bruz the interest rate” well too bad, the Ruzzian serfs are too loyal to their Tsar.

Massive sanctions are bad for the economy? Who could have foreseen this?

Even Putin personally has so much money, that he stole, that he could fund the nation for some years. And then all the oligarch friends who wanted the war as they were promised to take hold of Ukrainian industry and plants if they supported Putin’s war. None of the money will go to higher pensions and better unemployment support, but in reality it’s a really rich nation.

Typical western propaganda. It will just be a three day special economic disaster.
Edit: Can’t tell if I’m being downvoted by salty Russians that don’t like my joke or my fellow westerners that didn’t get my joke. I’ll take the L and leave it up for prosperity, lol.

It’s been said for the last three years.
Looks like the sanctions are not working and the current leadership in the West doesn’t have R. Reagan’s balls to impose really crippling ones.

I’ve been reading on the internet for two years that Russia is about to go bankrupt, but it never happens. I Putin is a superhero, or they write a lot of nonsense.

News don’t make sense anymore. This crisis has been “ongoing” for 3 years and somehow Russia is still standing strong and even the general sentiment now despises the EU. I don’t know what to make sense of

The question is how Russia can get rid of Putin, as it seems both other leaders and oligarchs are living in co-dependence with Putin, and will likely lose their insanely lavish benefits and possibly lives if he goes away.

So if Trump is Russian asset, and Putin is destroying Russia from inside as… ehem, US asset, is this whole thing The Departed 2? /s
