Looks very generous. I seem to be paying anything from 16 euro to 26 euro in Kerry in pubs and definitely not as generous with the fish at either end of the price scale.

What’s with the very heavy batter that’s been appearing in recent years? Really not a fan of fish and chips here. Other than in a few coastal towns, a lot of it is awful.
It should be light and crispy batter with good quality fish (not over cooked) and golden chips. Instead you often get soggy, thick batter and chips that are pale and mushy.
