I saw that data on Our World in Data was updated, so I decided to make a new, updated map.
Changes compared to last year:
UK went from Gas (34.24%) to Wind (29.96%). Gas was just slightly bellow at 29.92%
Luxembourg went from Wind (35.25%) to Biomass (30.13%). Probably a bad year for wind at 28.85%
Czechia was apparently wrong on last year aslo, coal was biggest in 2022, now it is nuclear. But, they are producing less electricity in general, by reducing coal, they should increase other forms of production whilst shutting down coal.
I’ve also recognized specific situation in Estonia, they now have separate category Oil shale.
Edit: And, of course, I made a mistake, Kazakhstan is Coal, not Gas.

Soon there will be mainly solar countries too.

We are going to fight again about whohever has the best source meanwhile our grids are interconnected and the more diversified they are, the better and the safer we all are. Diversity is our strenght, quite litterally when it comes to electricity production.

Is it by any chance possible to exclude Russia, as long as they having a war in Ukraine and trying to infiltrate Georgia it’s getting uncomfortable to see this so called humans in a sub/(called) Europe

Most of the countries with hydro and wind can only do so because they are bordering a country with nuclear energy.

It’s funny because in Germany there is always a big debate about the shutdown of nuclear plants. The pro-nuclear side always argues that basically everyone else in Europe will move towards nuclear and will be happy to sell their produced energy to Germany … now looking at this map their argument does not make any sense.

The sad part for Czechia is that nuclear is just couple of percent above coal and the only reason for nuclear now winning is less demand for electricity from heavy industry, mostly steel and aluminium as these companies lost markets which were mostly russia and ukraine. End the war, restore the business and we are back with coal. Unlike Slovakia we didn’t increase nuclear capacity

So, some time ago, I created this:
