First – I don’t even know what’s that “tvpworld” website is, probably rusbot “sponge” website, I’m not even gonna open it.
Second – there were just 500 to 1k-2k max pro russian bots in our capital protesting against the euro despite hugely and expensively advertised for month. 50-100 rus bots in our other major cities.
Now it’s just one of the pro russian party party members crying.
Bulgaria is definitely not “hit” by anti-euro protests, as “hit” suggest some major strikes or something. It’s just the local crazy vatniks not even being able to organize themselves.
Bulgaria is ready and will adopt the euro despite the russian bot propaganda throwing millions to try to destabilize the country.

The Bulgarian Lev hasn’t been independent in decades – it has always been pegged to one currency or another since its inception. All these idiots protesting about keeping the currency because of patriotism etc .. I mean really.

Oh please, there’s barely a few thousand at the protests. Just because they’re vocal doesn’t mean the nation is againts the Euro.

That is precisely the idea behind the protests โ to reach European News.
Their aim is to damage Bulgaria’s image in the eyes of other EU countries.
In reality, these are just very noisy gatherings of paid members and a handful of misguided people.
But the goal has been achieved โ here we are in the European news, presented in a similar way as Hungary.

Every Bulgarian I talked to is opposed to the Euro.
The pro-Euro Bulgarians on Reddit don’t represent the whole country.
People are genuinely worried about rising prices and inflation if they make the switch.

It’s not true. Someone is desperate to swing the protests. Paid anti euro posters are on big boards, but it barely has any feedback in the population. For sure no mass protests ongoing, Vain russian/farright fart

They are the victim of their own success. There are countries in the EU unable to get their stuff together thus they still use a poorly performing currency.

I vaguely remember some early troubles switching currency had, like some places simply switched currency symbol from mark to euro, essentially 500% price hike. I was but a wee lad tho.

A handful of uneducated “patriotic” pro-ruzzia NPCs. Many more people were protesting because of recent road accidents or those twisted animal abusers, but that doesn’t make for a click-baity headline, doesn’t it.

I know for a fact that here in finland, truckers who used to drive in russia, would be extremely anti EU.
And by that i mean, every singlr one of them would parrot same stories, same argument points and be against same things. I knew back then that these guys went to russia and were influenced by russian propaganda in one way or another.
At one point they would even collect can clips and discard return cans just because they were told that those clips help saving sick people. Nobody knew where they went.
All truckers.ย
My theory is, that it was a psy op from russia to chart how well can they spread propaganda.

Croatian prices skyrocketed when they implemented the Euro so you do need to be careful. Prices will rise for sure, but if the government messes up you may see everything become twice as expensive. If so the government is finished.
