Wish I hadn’t watched that, makes me so angry. The people responsible for this need to be held to account.

It’s ok though, it’s the vegans who are extreme for daring to say that we shouldn’t be buying products from an industry that makes liberal use of gas chambers. 🙂

This is approved by the RSPCA Assured program.
> “RSPCA Assured said the birds in the footage were already unconscious and were not in pain”
What a joke. People give their hard earned money to this charity to protect animals and instead they take money from the people that do this nonsense, in exchange for the use of their respected brand to make consumers think they are making an ethical choice buying those products.

I’m not vegan myself, but do follow joey carbstrong as he is shining a light on these awful practices

I mean not to sound callous or cruel but is it particularly painful for the chicken as a method of dispatch? -i honestly don’t know genuine question.
If it isn’t then it’s not exactly a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon but when farming on an Industrial scale you have to use industrial techniques.

Fuck the people who invented this, fuck the people in control of this , fuck the rspca endorsing this, fuck the people who consume the products made from this.

You guys haven’t seen a pig being slaughtered have you? This is nothing compared to that.

If you’re not vegan you’re funding this.
Nation of animals lovers, what a joke.

Aside from local farms or smaller local holdings/honesty boxes does anyone here have any good recommendations for ethical eggs?
Things like this always make me consider just where I’m buying from but if this is RSCPA certified it makes it difficult to feel confident in any choice.

This is no secret. Well, only to the naive.
17 years ago Jamie Oliver (love or hate him) slaughtered a chicken and gassed male chicks in front of a Live Audience as part of a TV show !
“Jamie’s Fowl Dinners” Channel4
One episode is still on youtube titled “Jamie Oliver shows the truth about chickens”. I’m not linking it because, well, it’s still tea time for some.

For as long as animals are used as commodities they’ll be treated like them. Places that breed, exploit and kill animals are always gonna find the cheapest way to do it not the nicest.

I’m glad I don’t eat chicken any more. This shit is absolutely dreadful.

And if you think this is shocking, you should see what we do to humans.

Honestly theres no excuses for the adhorrent conditions farm animals find themselves in and yes this goes both for shit like this that is “RSPCA assured” and all the other programs along with Halal. For a nation of animal lovers we sure love to find new ways to kill animals.

What part of that is secret…? We know ages ago, but now the media picks it up, everyone goes wow!

Sorry if this is ignorant, but is there a standard of eggs that mean the hens were not gassed, kept in awful conditions or abused?
Or is the only way to get your own hens or find something local?
