Putin is probably even more scared of democracy than he is of NATO.

How much genuine grassroots support is there in Bulgaria to not pursue Eurozone membership?

People are less pro-Russian than ever. Russophilia is like an infection though, when you start to treat it flares up, it hurts, but ultimately you piss it out haha

In economic theory and practice, benefits of an economic union are greatest when countries are very different.
With Bulgaria’s diverse industrial base, including manufacturing, mining, and metallurgy, particularly in sectors like machinery, electronics, and automotive parts, accession to the EU seems potentially economically beneficial to all parties.
