Its nothing to do with police cuts. Its just a notoriously hard crime to prove even with evidence. Its generally he said she said which isnt enough for conviction
The processing of evidence being as slow as it is + the general justice system being fucked is absolutely down to cuts but rape is also just an incredibly difficult crime to prove and prosecute in court – generally forensic evidence allows you to know if something happened but not what.
Really? Last year in the met police area it was 9.5%.
Also need to remember Police record every allegation even if that allegation is immediately withdrawn or the victim other than saying she was raped refuses to provide any further detail.
