    1. absolutely disgusting, but totally expected behaviour from a bunch of inbred scummers

    2. Not just her house, many houses were targeted in racist attacks. And so hard to explain that to the kids, do you say its random or give them a crash course on racism? I don’t know.

But I do also want to set some perspective.

      >A Romanian man said he had lived in the area for 15 years. He said: “We don’t even know why this happened to us.“ The riots started last night. We didn’t expect it to come to our house. “We tried to get out of the house and go to a safe place.

      >“I have lived here 15 years. Everything else has been nice, everything has been OK.#

      >“I have so many friends in Ballymena, I have got so much support.“ Everyone was texting and asking us if we are OK, if we are safe, if they can do anything for us.”

      >He added: “I am lucky because the damage here is not too bad, but my sister has three kids, I have a little girl.“We are going to live in a friend’s house for a while and then try to move out of here.”

Its not like the whole neighbourhood is or was a racist shithole, if he’s had no major problems for 15 years.

These were the actions of a small number of bad actors that should be dealt with harshly by the police, even if its too late to stop the targeted folks from moving away out of fear.

In fairness, she’s probably afraid of living next to rapists as well.

Nobody burned down Lucan when a 14 year old girl was raped and murdered there.

Something I noticed reading a BBC article about it – they didn’t say where this guy was from, but mentioned a Romanian translator was used at the interrogation/policestation. RTE & other Irish media always seem to go out of their way to avoid saying a suspect is from a specific country let alone say they are from abroad.

There have been issues with the Roma community for years in Ballymena, the past two weeks (2 serious sexual assaults on minors) have tipped things over the edge. There are a lot of hard work migrants in the town contributing to society but this particular group has outstayed their welcome.
