It must be really hard as a man with breast cancer to be sat in a clinic having everyone staring at you like you shouldn’t be there. I feel like the man in the article has handled it really well though, hoping to use his situation to help medical professionals learn and to raise awareness rather than moan on a news story.

Not at all surprising, perhaps if he had worn a frock he would have been better received/perceived.

On the whole, it all seems pretty positive. He’s happy to be a guinea pig. The breast cancer charity was totally accepting. He felt awkward but it doesn’t sound like anyone reacted with anything but surprise.

I always said, the cancer charities seem to be quite ignorant in regards to men’s cancer. It’s usually all in for women but very little for men.

This is one of the results of poor sex education. A lot of people think men can’t get breast cancer, or don’t understand how it’s even possible they could get it.
This is because, as obsessed as we are about “biological sex” right now, most Britons have no idea how human biology works, or how sex selection or sexual development works. They don’t properly even understand what the differences between the sexes are and what they are not.
