60 letters and no response? Surely to god after the first three or so they should have gotten off the parliamentary side of their arse and picked up the phone.
Why were they sending it to a single Civil Servant over and over and didn’t cop that maybe the inbox wasn’t being monitored let alone ignored.
if the CS did ignore then why, but also why didn’t they seek another means to raising it up the chain if there was no response after X days?

The amount of shit that happens in local councils that never gets any parliamentary attention is breathtaking. It’s not just this.
And I guarantee you the civil servant that is responsible for this screwup will face absolutely zero repercussions, probably fail up words and get promoted and the usual “lessons will be learned” line will be delivered to satiate the public.
That headline doesn’t seem to match the reality.
