The poor guy said he was travelling with his brother, too.

All these somewhat recent plane crashes defo ain’t giving me anxiety for my flight in 3 weeks 😅

      Wow.

      Wishing you every strength.

      No words.

I don’t believe God saves some and kills others. It’s totally random.

But I hope your life’s journey is everything you want it to be after this terrible event.

It is mind boggling that someone has survived that. Speechless

    5. Seat 11A just became more expensive, like buying an emergency exit seat for extra legroom.

    6. Sensitive_Echo5058 on

Seats for 11A will now be triple the price.

That said, glad the guy survived. Hopefully, it was too quick for the victims to feel pain.

I truly sympathize with this guy and wish him well, but his situation reminds me a lot of the movie Final Destination

With a tank full of fuel I’m struggling to comprehend how. Maybe he got out of an emergency exit before the crash landing?

    9. Imagine him booking another ticket to get home when he’s up and running again. I think I’d be shopping for a cruise instead

I can’t imagine the conflicted emotions you just go through surviving an otherwise totally fatal plane crash.

Seems fucked they’re harassing him for comment whilst he’s in hospital, it’s not even been a day?

Makes me feel so ill being a British Indian who has flown with air India many times back to London. Could have been any one of my family members or friends.

This is some miracle since the whole thing was vaporised and big fireball

    14. Wr still don’t know what caused the failure. I am using that same air line to fly to India on Saturday. Going to be sufficiently drunk just in case!

    15. God damn. Can’t believe that’s even possible… And yet even this remarkable news is brutal if it’s also true his brother has passed away in it… Just such a tragedy.

    16. I went into Dubai from UK , two days after Gulf War started. I was only inbound passenger, I was told there would be a full load on returning flight. It was a quiet journey.

I hope he copes well with the survivors guilt, losing a brother and all other people who were impacted

He’s going to need an awful lot of mental health support for years and years and maybe for the rest of his life, not only for the PTSD but also the survivor guilt. How can you be the only survivor from a whole flight of over 240 people and not be affected.
