The gentleman lays out a good reason why we should not get SU-30MKIs.
Main points are that the contract to make MKIs prohibits it being sold to a third country without Russia’s approval. Also since there are Israeli electronics in there, Israel has to give an OK as well.
Apparently the Swedes offered us a really good package deal, and we said no to appease Russia.
He says that the news about SUs without missiles isn’t true, but he knows things about other incomplete parts on the SUs that we supposedly knew about, but decided that the PR is more important. That part I am taking with a grain of salt since he isn’t being clear on that and the news about the missiles not being given to us, is pretty much confirmed.
