Unsurprising. Egypt’s attitude to Palestine is more aligned with Israel than many would presume.
People don’t know (or don’t care) that there was a 10 year long Islamist insurgency in the Sinai that left 10,000 people dead. It only ended in 2023 and it’s a very sensitive part of Egypt. The government doesn’t allow people to fuck around there, but hey, Paul Murphy wants to go play and take some photos for Insta.
Funny how now it’s not held hostage.
These people are idiotic, trying to march on an active war zone, they were only ever going to get detained and rightfully so
Keep low key when residing or on holiday in another country.
