That was a pretty useless taser.

Took like what, three times to work?

    2. These officers were seriously injured because they were not adequately equipped to do their jobs and to protect themselves and the public, as has been the case many times before. Routine arming of police is long overdue.

Those officers are very lucky to be alive. The attacker broke into people’s houses.

There could’ve be a lot more fatalities in this incident.

They got very lucky not to be killed. Whilst Taser is a really good tool it was not what was needed here.

A conversation should be had about routine arming but given that officers are being sacked for hurty words and seeing the result of Kaba I doubt many would take it up if offered.

Those who slate the police and believe that they only go after easy targets such as twitter posters should watch that footage.

Running towards a guy with a sword.

Let that sink in. That’s what your local police officers are willing to do.

Another reason i support routine arming of firearms.

That TASER took far too long to work, could have not worked at all and theres only a % of officers who have them.

If it didnt, dead officers and more dead public.

God bless our brave officers charging at danger.

Fairly sure stopping a guy with a sword is a bit more important than your gripes.

You’d think police would be trained in HEMA techniques to be able to disarm an opponent whilst armed with a baton.

This bit here makes the officer a legend:

He said he was “disappointed” to have been injured as this hampered his pursuit of Mr Monzo,
