This is inherently biased. Nationality is not commonly recorded by the police, and often only recorded if it’s relevant to the crime or evidence of immigration status (therefore deportation order may be placed down). Further extrapolating this to a “crime per capita” analysis, especially when compare to crime per British citizen (which ignores the reality of dual nationals), is fundamentally flawed.

“Afghans and Eritreans are 20 times more likely to be convicted of a sexual offence than a British citizen, that Congolese nationals are almost 12 times more likely to be convicted of a violent crime.”

“At the same time, German, Indian, and American nationals are less likely to be convicted of a crime”.

Ultimately, what we need is data that can predict from which countries are people more or less likely to assimilate into British culture and standards of behaviour. I’d be all for reducing immigration from countries who score high on the ‘crime league tables’.

I think data could be useful to outright ban some nationalities coming in. Other countries are either doing it or considering it. It will make the country statistically safer.

Robert Jenrick is a hypocritical cunt, these crime stats are from when his party was in power, and most of the immigrants he is complaining about would have come in under their watch.

I really think we need maths people to weigh in here.

I’ll begrudgingly take Reforms disgusting claims if maths people say they are true based on multiple metrics but I just don’t believe them.

Roughly 17% of the British population live in social housing. The number of Somalis is above the normal level and could be addressed through training schemes to get them into work – but given the state of the country they fled it isn’t surprising that they are poor and can’t afford to buy or rent privately.

I’m sure you’d agree it would be productive to invest in that community to help it to thrive.

Denmark has been releasing crime by “country of origin” for years. Just go google it. It’s interesting reading, and interesting they have been publishing it for decades already.

Import the third world, show no political desire to deport or act against imported criminals and eventually they begin to push the envelope and become emboldened by our leaders cowardice.

If the figures are being released then by definition he’s not covering them up, is he?

Let’s look at some logic.

Are we going ignore the 9,941 per 10,000 that don’t commit sexual offences? As a % 59 would be 0.59%.

What would you want the government to do here? Do you want them to ban all Afghans even though 99.41% don’t commit these offences? Do you want the Police to spend extra resources on 77 people out of the 16,771 offences committed? Which 0.45% of all offences. Do you think that will bring down those crime numbers?

Do you not think that’s a bit stupid?

When are people going to realise this is a trash metric with the goal of pushing reform into power and distracting you from the real issues in society?

You knows who’s more likely to commit crime? Poor people. Most migrants are poor and even more so when they aren’t given the right to work and make their own money. Look under the surface a bit more than “brown folk bad, other cultures violent”
