A nasty little corner of the internet, was only a matter of time before this happened.

Any site that allows you to post shit about someone online anonymously should be liable as well as the person spouting it and the poster. FB and dating app groups as an example anyone posting there should be identifiable and liable fuck that.

Went on to it one day after hearing about it. You’d think they’d be going after “big” influencers/celebrities but they’re lashing into just local people who happen to have a bit more Instagram followers than normal. Vicious sniping going on there.

“The operator is Sebastian Bond, a businessman who according to the plaintiffs’ legal team uses a number of aliases, including Bastian Durward – known on the internet as a vegan cooking influencer and author of the book “Nest and Glow”.”

      >In making his award, Mr Justice McAlinden noted: “A day of reckoning will come for those behind Tattle Life and for those individuals who posted on Tattle Life.

      >“To hasten that day of reckoning, it is appropriate that the court makes an award of damages to each plaintiff in this case.

      >“It would be remiss of the court to award costs on any other basis than indemnity.” (Indemnity costs include all fees and expenditure incurred by the party taking the litigation, in this case, the Sands’.)

      Glad this is finally happening.

I’ve never agreed with tattle. I’ve read it once or twice and the people there are nasty nasty people. However I’ve already seen a local influencer sussing how much money she could get. She regularly posts rage bate just to get people to post about her on that site and afaik is known to have said this herself. So there’s about to be a lot of money hungry influencers foaming at the mouth over this

      That site is weird af.

Didn’t look at the influencer threads, but looked at other ones such as the true crime ones. They’re all echo chambers and instantly rush to pile on and bully anyone who questions a word they say.

The Lucy Letby was especially weird. They had all these weird inside jokes about her clothes, sex life etc. And doxing and posting rude stuff about Lucy’s friends etc. And if anyone questioned the case against her the response was always “iT iS sOoOoO iNsEnTiTiVe tO bE sAyInG tHaT”. You’d wonder who posts on the site.

About fucking time shit like this was taken serious. Are we dating the same guy on FB is just as bad. There was also lies posted about me by a crazy ex. It was posted on my fucking wedding day and later on my honeymoon. People waited till we got back from our honeymoon to tell me. FB are the most insensitive, horrible useless shower of cunts I ever had to deal with. The mods of the groups are just as bad and just ignore everything. I talked to one man and his cancer diagnosis was discussed on this group. 30,000 in the group too.

I got legal advice and the Garda contacted facebook but there was no way I could afford to go the High Court, solicitor also said it tricky as the person that did it couldnt afford costs or if anything was awarded. Support groups pointed me to the Data Commissioner and it done the trick eventually. Well, content was removed but no one was held accountable.

Fair play to that couple! A lot of people who can’t afford to go that far will be very happy to read a story like this.

My partner is always hiding her phone from me at night and I know it’s because she’s looking up the gossip on tattle

Is this going to be like The Passion Of Saint Tibulus, in the sense that many people who have had absolutely no idea about Tattle are now going to go and have a look when they read about this case, therefore causing a paradoxical event for these people?

    11. Jeeaysus no punches were pulled by that couple and their solicitors. Fair play!

There are some horrible feckers on that site! The level of hate is off the charts.

I’ve never heard of this couple before, it’s weird there was a thread on just normal business people 🤔 thought it was mainly influencers and celebs

Headline is underselling how much that’s going to cost website operator.

      > In December 2023, the High Court granted the £300,000 damages award and ordered that legal costs be paid on an indemnity basis, with further costs and third-party compliance expenses raising the total to be injuncted to £1.8 million.

I’ve never heard of this website, would they even have 1.8m?

Does this mean Reddit, Facebook, Twitter can also be sued if there are threads or comments,
similar to what is on tattle?

Tattle was great during the Two Johnnies GAA Catfish drama, I’ll give it that

    17. I think tattle life is where all the names and places in the carfish saga where dug out?
