It would be great to get fusion power off the ground, and a bit of national pride if we were the ones who finally cracked it.
I generally dislike the “fUsIoN pOwEr Is AlWaYs 30 YeArS aWaY LOL” comments because that isn’t fair on the great minds working on it – *huge* advances have been made in the last few decades.
But it does seem like there might be hard limits to how viable it is as a deployable power source with current human advancement and technology.
