    2. This is a step in the direction. I’m sure immigration officials already who is and isn’t telling porkies and this just empowers them to make better and swifter choices.

      It doesn’t make sense to have a system in place that fails to conduct thorough checks to verify whether someone is a legitimate asylum seeker. People will lie when the system is easily broken.

      Seems like common sense to me, the fact the Times made an article out of it and are charging you to read it does however not make sense.

      I don’t think this will work and will be easily challengable in court.

      Are they supposed to get a note from their prospective torturers as evidence?

      I see people agreeing with this like nodding dogs, but performative nonsense they will likely fail is pointless.
