It’s a real snack but in the picture it looks dreadful to be sold at an event. It also looks like a toast bread? Which is not the type people would use even at home for this.
Actually, *”zsíros kenyér”* or “fatty bread” is a totally real thing that a lot of people really love. Though honestly, in this picture it looks fucking disgusting. Originally, it’s a big slice of sourdough peasant bread spread with pork fat, topped with red onion and maybe some paprika powder. You know, the kind of bread that’s crusty, has a real flavor, something you’d happily eat on its own because it’s just that good and then you add the toppings… But to be honest, I can totally imagine someone charging money for this somewhere, though served like this, I doubt anyone would actually want to eat it.
Edit: Just saw the price… well, at least it’s not expensive 😀 you’re not getting anything else for that money anyway.

funny reading comments about how spreading the onion more evently or sprinkling some paprika on top is supposed to make lard spread on a piece of bread more appetizing, but some people genuinely love it, made with fresh, quality bread it can be actually okay, feel free to try it at home
