It is saddening that world is normalizing relations with Jolani government as he massacres religious minorities in Syria.

So now that we got first tourist flights to Syria, does that mean EU member states will be able to send back the syrian refugees living in EU?, without breaking any laws/conventions?

I always try to explain to my foreign non Romanian friends that Syrians in Romania are a rare breed of Arab diaspora. The fact that Romania was the first to organize this flight is unsurprising.
Lots of rich Syrians in Romania. And they’ve been there for decades as well.

Isn’t the airspace closed due to the Israel – Iran war?

Great. Then it’s safe for all the Syrian refugees that came during 2015 to return to their homeland.

Such great timing, they may well be able to wave out the window at Israeli F-35s on their way to Iran.

Slava Syria!
Is safe to travel in Damasc as a tourist? I’m wondering if this line is profitable
A few months ago Romanian airline [Dan Air announced](https://aviationweek.com/air-transport/airports-networks/dan-air-opens-eu-syria-corridor-four-new-routes) the start of scheduled flights from Bucharest, Frankfurt, Berlin & Stockholm to Damascus. They are the first EU airline to offer service to Syria.
According to Dan Air the first flight (Bucharest-Damascus) was completely sold out and ticket sales are going well for the other routes as well.
The flight was piloted by two women, one of them is Cristina Preda who is [Europe’s first female flight operations director](https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/dan-air/captain-cristina-preda-appointed-as-europes-first-female-flight-operations-director/).
