I saw the president at an by invitation only event at a foreign embassy in Prague last week (saw him from a distance, not that we spoke or anything). This was a large-ish event, granted, but as I said: invitation only, and tightly guarded on secure premises to begin with.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a security detail that was quite so nervous before. He was constantly surrounded by 5-6 dudes with their hands basically on their guns, facing outwards. That was a stark contrast to last June, when I also saw him at an event, also in Prague. Sure, there was obvious security present there as well: but nothing like the “wall of bodies on hair trigger” I saw at that embassy.
Sad times that such measures are necessary. All the better that he managed to go to that concert. Probably not as critical with regard to security, because likely no one was expecting him there to begin with.

Doea anyone remember the beginning of Spy Kids 2?
With the presidents’ daughter dancing surrounded by Secret Service agents?
Seeing Czech President Petr Pavel casually enjoying a Springsteen concert made me realize how far we are from that in Hungary. Imagine Orbán in a crowd like that – no handpicked fans, no propaganda cameras, just regular people… and Springsteen singing about freedom, immigrants, and working-class struggles. Yeah, not happening. Unless it’s a secret Ákos gig in Felcsút.

The fact that he only wants to do one term and that Czechs will elect psychopath STB agent Babis as PM this year, makes me think that this summer could be the last peaceful one for a long long time.

god forbid presidents have fun at a concert. They should all do military parades right?

Reminds me of the former President of Indonesia being a [massive metalhead](https://www.peoplesworld.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/widodo520x310.jpg).
