2000-3000$ monthly is more than enough. And yes 3-4 bedroom apartment can be as much as 1M, depending where you wanna settle, but, we have areas very close to centre where 3-4 bedroom apartments can be as low as 150k.

there are many agencies, people, charging crazy fees. some are more reasonable.
are you trying to buy or rent/ i advise renting in the beginning until you find the area you want to live in.
