      It can get up to what temperature it likes during the day. Its when it doesn’t dip below 20C at night is when I have the problem.

      Just to deal with the idiots posting stupid comments (I see some have already started)…

      The reason why alerts are posted is because for people in “at risk” groups:

      * Older people with frailty issues
      * Very young children and infants
      * People who have chronic health issues (especially affecting hydration, EG people with stomas)
      * People who are immunocompromised
      * People with tollerance issues to temperate or light sensitivity disorders

      This shit can put you in the hospital or even be fatal. So quit with all the “I’m all right jack” bullshit or “its just scaremongering”, because you’re spreading misinformation about warnings that are there to assist certain groups of the public. It’s shitty behavior and you’re as bad as climate deniers.

      I’ve always absolutely hated the heat. It sucks. Makes me feel sick, dizzy and lethargic. I also have chrons, so it’s probably related. I can’t wait for autumn again.

    6. Is it really that hot? It might be uncomfortable if you’re fat, pale or sick or something but this is very normal weather.

      I can deal with regular heat just fine, it’s when there’s not even a slight breeze to give a bit of relief that I can’t stand.

      Where I am, the ventilation isn’t v good & the usual temp is 25 every day, which personally is ideal for me, but if the wind is warm or outside is above 25, it creeps up & up, getting hotter each day as the building heats up more & more.

      Those days are what we call ‘book days’, as computers raise the temp really quick if it isn’t cool. It’s bad, but we can always go outside to cool off as we’ve got a back garden, but fuck, pensioners? I feel for them, especially the ones with mobility problems, they’re effectively stuck suffering from the heat.

      I clearly have a vitamin D deficiency. When it’s hot and sunny, I feel like I’ve just woken up from a very long sleep and feel refreshed and energized and *alive.*

      But it’s easy to get carried away. I’m a pasty pale Brit not used to the sun so I burn easily – a few weeks ago I got sun stroke from it when working outside and forgot to put sunscreen on.

      Remember people, stay hydrated, get in the shade especially at the peak of the day and wear sunscreen outside. A tip I use for warm sweaty nights is to freeze a bottle of water during the day and in the evening put it front of a fan to help blow cool around. Then when it starts melting you’ve got ice cold water to drink from as well.
