Guess it’s time to update my Places to Visit list
Congrats for Copenhagen, but the scores bear no resemblance to the reality for the majority of any of these cities populations.
They’re ‘nice’ vague indicators of what, in theory, is available.
Available, provided that you have the ability to access them.
A city may have great theater, concerts, exhibits etc but if they’re only in the central area, and you can’t afford childcare, let alone the price of a ticket, well, they aren’t really available.
Zürich, Kopenhagen and Geneva together still are smaller populationwise than Vienna and they all together are smaller than Melbourne.
I actually was thinking of getting a master’s in Copenhagen and was worried about the lifestyle, not because of the actual lifestyle (I know it’s really good, public services work so well, I know food is great, architecture, etc), but I’m just afraid I’ll get bored of everything being so nice, since I’m someone who really likes a melancholic city and being so introspective. Would really like to get some feedback on this.

I will take this list seriously, when the cost of living will be considered as well. I live in Zurich, the quality of life is great here (3rd), but you must have a very high salary to be able to afford that quality of life. With the average salary (100k €) you won’t.
Average Scandinavian when they do bad in stats and say now do per capita :
I repeat! Copenhagen replaces Vienna, no need to panic!
Higher taxes… but seriously Copenhagen is a great city very biker friendly…
