Ciao a tutti, la prossima settimana/fine settimana viaggerò in Macedonia per qualche giorno durante le vacanze di Pasqua e mi chiedevo se spostarmi all’interno del paese. Entrerò dalla Serbia e trascorrerò una notte a Skopje prima di proseguire per Ohrid, ma non riesco a capire se c’è un treno su questa tratta o devo prendere invece un autobus (preferisco i treni quando possibile ). Il sito web dell’Interrail ha la mappa qui sopra, che mostra che c’è un treno, ma il sito web della compagnia ferroviaria MZT è un po’… difficile da navigare per uno straniero, e non sembra mostrare un treno per Ohrid sulla linea elenco dei percorsi a meno che non mi manchi. Quindi esiste ancora o la mappa dell’Interrail è sbagliata e questo percorso è stato interrotto? Inoltre, solo una piccola domanda a margine: vale la pena prendersi un giorno per vedere anche Bitola mentre sono in viaggio, o è meglio concentrarsi su Ohrid? Grazie in anticipo per il vostro aiuto!

No . There’s no active railroad in the west part of Macedonia.
There are alot of bus lines skopje-ohrid but the bus system is also a huge mess ,diferent companies drive the same route.
In my opinion the trip in bitola is not worth it. You’ll be stuck in a van (thay call em bus) for 2h on a shity road.
Nope, no train. Also, most likely no train this year to Greece or Serbia. You should only be looking at routes Kumanovo – Skopje and Skopje – Gevgelija. Otherwise, just use a bus.
It’s a pity that our railways have gotten worse then they were 50 years ago, there is some buzz lately about rail transport. Let’s hope that in 10 years we will at least have our old network back.
