I know it’s always been the case, but I still find it odd that unions want to get involved in this type of politics.
He also thinks Iran should not defend themselves.
But in reality Palestine better not being a state at the moment as Israel has legal obligations, which they are not doing, occupying Palestine. If it were a state, and Hamas or some others attacked Israel, then Israel could have the legal right to attack the state.
It would be a waste of time when there are no agreed borders and two rival governments (if what’s left of Hamas can still be said to govern anything). It would also fail to satisfy any of the protesters who would like “Palestine” to replace all Israel, not exist alongside it.
Anyone who refuses to recognise a Palestinian state does not believe in a 2 state solution. It is the bare minimum requirement.
Palestine is recognised by 147 countries, Pretty much all of Asia, Africa, South America and also several “Western” aligned states like Norway, Sweden, Ireland, Spain, Iceland, Mexico etc.
Anyone telling you it’s impossible to recognise Palestine is lying
