Athy? People are desperate for a home, but not *that* desperate.
So the government have scrapped building around 500 or so homes during a housing crisis, but please everyone lets all forgot about that and blame the black or muslim family at the end of your road instead.
Jesus wept. They absolutely piss away billions every year with nothing to show for it. The housing crisis is crippling this country. Houses need to be built, take the hit and just build them.

The article cited this as halted due to the development costs being too high. So, have they a credible plan to reduce these costs?

I live in kildare, the residents association where I’m at put in a 20+ page complaint for 8 new bungalows within the estate with some of the most egotistical reasons.
All hope is lost for the housing here.

How is it possible that so much has gone so spectacularly wrong with housing not seven months since the last General Election? Where were the journalists in advance of this election, why did nobody spot the fake housing numbers? We have been massively failed by politicians and our journalist class.
Social and affordable housing is no longer affordable to even build never mind buy.
