3 hours? I thought the idea was to overwhelm the defense all at once, instead they spaced out and became targets in a shooting gallery.

Really curious about the bases they come from. Do all the people know they just went on a massive assault and from the dozens of people who left, the survivor amount is a single digit, if that?
That would just wreck morale.
