I was curious and googled their net income for 2024: $100.1 billion.

So this fine has ~4% impact on annual net income.

I do not care much here one way or the other. I am just disgusted by the fact that we even have such fights.

Thanks for paying for mainland Europe’s cycle lanes, Google!

So we have already realized in 2018 that they have global dominance over the apps, but yet, we haven’t done sh*t in 7 years to make something on our own. How fk*n stupid. EU wake up!

    7. Google deserves a slap on the wrist, for various things, but the reasoning behind this fine seems suprisingly light relative to the amount.

    8. It was the same when VW got fined because of their faked emission reports. They propably laughed it off and went on a out their day.

    9. So nice to add.. *squints*.. 0.0235% to our collective revenue.
