It’s so amazingly idiotic that centuries and millennia with war and death and murder that some people think it’s just really great forcing this kind of weapons race.
When I was working in England, I remember working on a project with a woman whose husband worked at the atomic weapons establishment at Aldermaston. She was telling me how they went on a business trip… To Nevada… You can guess where…. She was also telling me clearly this is a place where you cannot take your mobile phone into….
The best thing about us having nuclear weapons is that we can use that power to force other countries to not have nuclear weapons.
