Generally speaking and independent of the Russia issue: if Schengen is to survive, external borders need to be protected much better, otherwise internal checks will continue, essentially eroding the very reason why Schengen was introduced in first place.
And it’s really high time for ETIAS / EES to be introduced, the whole process has taken way too long. More transparency and efficiency will go a long way to make the system work better for everyone while reducing fraud and abuse.

they are NOT BANNED?!

Kind of wonder why they aren’t banned already and why aren’t all russians banned…

*all Russians.
There, fixed it. Oh, and detain all known relatives and family members of the Russian government in Europe. Negotiate their release when Russian forces leave Ukraine, including Crimea. Thank you.

Why on earth is such a ban not already a thing? They keep coming up with restrictions and sanctions and I keep on wondering why they held back on putting them in place for so long. How is there anything left to restrict and sanction after over three bloody years?

This is such a disgrace!
Okay, defense spending.
Okay, military aid.
Okay, questions about united European armed forces.
All this requires time, money, unity. Okay, let it be long and difficult. But damn…. 11 years since the beginning of the military conflict. 4th year of full-scale military action. And Europe… no, not even Europe, but several countries in Europe, have begun to suspect something?
I have no words.

That should be a no-brainer

Ban all?

Let’s wait a little longer, after all, 3 years of war is not enough for the European bureaucracy to introduce something like this.
In the meantime:
Arson and Explosions:
In Germany, authorities have investigated several suspected arson attacks on military supply depots and critical infrastructure, with signs pointing to Russian involvement or proxies.
In Czech Republic (2014), Russian GRU agents were behind the explosion at an ammunition depot in Vrbětice, killing two people. This was a covert operation to disrupt arms supplies to Ukraine.
GPS Jamming and Sabotage:
Finland and Norway have repeatedly reported GPS signal jamming in their northern regions during NATO exercises, which has endangered civilian and military aviation. These actions were traced to Russian sources in the Murmansk region.
Poland and the Baltic States have also experienced electronic interference affecting military and civilian communications.
Assassination Attempts and Attacks:
In Germany (2019), a Georgian asylum seeker and former Chechen fighter was assassinated in Berlin’s Tiergarten park. The killer was directly linked to Russian intelligence.
In Bulgaria, several poisoning attempts on arms dealers, notably Emilian Gebrev, were linked to the same GRU unit responsible for the Skripal poisoning in the UK.
Sabotage and Infrastructure Attacks:
In France and Sweden, there have been acts of sabotage targeting railways and communication lines, with investigations exploring links to Russian operatives.
Undersea cable and pipeline surveillance by Russian ships near key EU infrastructure (e.g., near Nord Stream before the 2022 explosions) raised alarm over potential sabotage capabilities.

After 3 years of war. Why the EU is so slow
That should have been the case since 2022.

Why not for all? Russia is a state of mind.
