EPP is showing their true, ugly face more and more in this legislative period, positioning themselves closer and closer to the far right on multiple issues.
Let them govern with them if they want. Don’t allow them to keep pretending they are part of the “centrist” big tent if that’s how they act.

Some regulations are needed to ensure people’s welfare, and it’s great that the EU has the world’s most stringing environmental laws. However, these groups have no solution for the fact that EU’s tens of thousands of pages of regulations in fact serve corporations’ dominance by stifling their cash-strapped start-up (including European) competitors from ever massifying in Europe, forcing them then to then go to the United States to scale up. If some Liberals and Socialists want to serve the far-right agenda by keeping Europe technologically behind and weak while the rest of the world doesn’t play by the same rules, they should at the very least have it be properly explained this. Watered-down EU regulations on this are still the, or one of the most ambitious in the world for the areas they cover.
And how do you increase support for the far-right that actually threatens people’s freedoms and prosperity? That’s right, with poor economic performance, as economically distressed people are more likely to radicalize and not want to hear how the far-right would actually make things much worse. Regulations are needed, but they need wealth to be created to be redistributed in the first place. Without them, you’re just a museum to be visited.

Besides them losing support, I would like for the European Commission to be something else than the European political dumpster for party rejects that want to have a paycheck while lobbying.

The EU needs new direction so maybe it’s time for VDL to move on
