I’ve made some prickly comments about our friends in the west recently. And I wouldn’t be rushing there anytime soon.
This is hilarious
“Mr O’Dwyer said that some Irish Donald Trump supporters are now experiencing regret.
“There’s a great number of Irish who were Trump supporters. I wish they weren’t, but they were,” he said.
“They thought the Irish wouldn’t be touched — I don’t know why they thought that, but they did — and now they’re really shocked that our own people are being sent home.”
Obligatory “only 25%?!” comment. Gimme upvotes.
The only thing for any Irish caught by these utterly dystopian new rules, is at least you’d be detained in PreClearance at Dublin; can’t imagine they’d hold you for long. Small comfort but better than the risk of being disappeared and Habeas Corpus being ignored on US soil.
> “The time to curate one’s online presence and seek legal advice is before applying, not after filing a visa application. Do not simply delete all social media accounts or set them all to private. This will be viewed by consular officers as inherently suspect and proof that you have something to hide.”
What a piece of advice for travellers to the supposed Land of the Free.

Shades of those British Retirees living in Spain suddenly appalled voting Brexit would result in their deportation. Absolutely no sympathy for these folks voting for the Face Eating Leopards.
Yeah I know when I’m not welcome. I’ve friends and family over there but they’ll have to wait a bit longer for a visit, or come over here.
I had a feeling there was a drop in applicants this year. I’m in my 30s and being bombarded with J1 visa ads online for the first time ever.
