Yet people will call you racist if you point this out. It fails to make sense to me why some people consider it OK to waste taxpayer money like this. The ECHR is no longer fit for purpose, as people have learned how to abuse it. Over [80%](https://www.irishexaminer.com/news/politics/arid-41575834.html)of asylum claims are denied, a whopping 20% of asylum seekers here aren’t liars. [70% rip up their documentation](https://amp.rte.ie/amp/1426087/) on the way here. Most are arriving from safe countries (yes yes, I know that war isn’t the only reason to flee a country).
Given that most are faking it, why are we spending such ludicrous amounts of money on it? It has turned into an industry, very efficiently siphoning public money to private hoteliers.
