Péter Magyar is launching his third national tour of Hungary. Following successful public gatherings last spring, summer, winter, and again in the early spring, culminating in a symbolic 300-kilometer walk promoting “national unity” in response to Orbán’s politics of hatred, this new journey promises to be different.

This time, Magyar aims to reach even more locations, use more modes of transport, and speak to even more people in person to assess their concerns and challenges. The journey will begin in mid-July and continue until October 23rd, one of Hungary’s most important national holidays. The tour named *Around Hungary in 80 Days*, referencing the famous novel by Jules Verne, will involve traveling by public transport, bicycle, and even canoe when possible. Magyar, known for his frequent literary, film, and pop culture references, continues this tradition in naming the campaign.

Before the journey begins, he plans to give a speech this summer in Somlóvásárhely to mark *Freedom Day -* commemorating the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Hungary. Once a significant moment in Hungarian history, the occasion has been all but forgotten under Orbán’s rule. Magyar hopes to revive this memory and highlight the growing issue of Russian influence in Hungary, something he is speaking about more openly. The event will include fireside discussions with local residents.

Why is this important? According to both polls and personal experiences, Magyar’s national tours have been his greatest strength so far. The country’s most trusted pollster now shows him leading Orbán and Fidesz by 51 to 36 percent. Even more significantly, he has made inroads in rural Hungary – in villages and remote farmsteads – long seen as Fidesz’s core support base.

The upcoming 80-day journey offers a powerful opportunity to meet thousands of people in these underserved areas, listen to their grievances, and show them that someone is finally paying attention. Politically, this could be transformative: these are communities no one from the political class has visited in decades, and Fidesz has exploited and misled them for far too long. The goal now is to change that.

Say what you want about the guy (and even his to-be voters do, believe that), but he’s doing this shit right. Going onsite, connecting with the little man, and flying the right issues on his flag while the ruling party just piles faux-pas on faux-pas while sitting in their ivory towers in €1000 clothes (that’s a running theme right now).

Hungary is last in every economic statistic from all of European Union.

Victor Orban did the worst job ever for Hungarian people… they become poorer every single day.

The days of Orban are counted… it’s time to lift Hungary again. Dictator Orban has to leave for a prosperous Hungary.
