Looks like a ‘pangea of politics’ in the making!

Who decided to colour “leave” in European blue? r/mildlyinfuriating

“Scotland, you can’t leave the UK – that’d mean leaving the EU, you don’t want that do you?”

“anyways we’re leaving the EU, Scotland, you’re coming with us”

I mean, really accurate would be one of those population-dot maps.

At least brexit voters property will be heavily taxed in Spain 🙂 I hope the same will be in my country to reduce problem with high estate prices.

Ah, the map of the stupidest thing any modern country has done to itself. Let Brexit be a warning to the world, never listen to or vote in right-wing populist governments.

It turns out that blaming all the countries problems created by those with all the power and money on minority’s with no power or money doesn’t make anything better for anyone apart from those with all the power and money.

I have a photo of this picture next to the picture of mad cow disease outbreaks … which looks suspiciously similar.

That isn’t even an accurate map given its absolutely binary nature.

That’s why Scotland must be indépendant and free.

Maps in general aren’t great for this kind of vote due to population density. They also don’t really tell us about the who. Was it people from x area or is it people 50+ and that town just has more people 50+.

The vote also wasn’t a winner takes all. One area could be 50.01% and another 49.99% and are shown as completely different. Needs colour grading.

Yeah, canny Scots knew what a fuckup brexit would prove to be & here we are, economic self destruction, Scottish independence is a priority.

Imagine if there was some sort of Reply button so you didn’t have to make a new thread on the same topic.

      Dumbest Brexit map.

The average idiot who looks at this map would never have the faintest idea that 38% of Scotland voted to leave the EU.

You’d blow their mind if you informed them that the entire UK would still be an EU member today if Scotland didn’t have such a large number of Brexit voters. Yes 38% is a minority, but it was still enough to sway the overall UK vote to a ‘leave’ majority.

“Ah, the map of the stupidest thing **any modern country** has done to itself.”

USA did not enter the competition.

Land doesn’t vote, people does. I think the old map was more accurate

NI Unionists voting leave will go down as one of the dumbest decisions in history.

    17. I remember waking up the next day after the referendum in utter disbelief that Leave won.

This referendum was the first success for Russian propaganda…

    19. Zxxzzzzx on

I never understood why let such an important decision be a simple majority instead of a 60/40 or something.

    20. Pint_o_Bovril on

      How is it more accurate?

Almost all of those blue or yellow areas was just a few percent away from being the opposite colour. This map is actually less representative this way.

    21. Important_Material92 on

I don’t really get the point of these geographic voting maps, land doesn’t vote – people do. These sort of maps suggest consensus but why stop at countries or regions, why not towns, villages, houses.

The OBSESSION of many Europhiles on this sub to break apart my country because we had the AUDACITY to leave their club is scary and fucking creepy.

How comes that Wales was just as brainwashed as Britain?

    24. LaconicSuffering on

I still find it ironic that the parry of Thatcher managed to convince the north to vote against a union.

What’s up with Isle of Man? Also Gibraltar, islands in La Manche, overseas territories across the world? I heard Gibraltar was the most pro-remain municipality
