I think you may have misinterpreted the situation. The closure of the Strait of Hormuz doesn’t necessarily have a direct impact on the sale of Iran’s oil. About one-fifth of global oil traffic passes through Hormuz, making it a critical route for countries like Qatar, the UAE, and Kuwait to export their oil to the global market. Its closure would significantly affect global oil prices, as the disruption in supply would likely prevent the market from meeting global demand effectively.
If that happens, it will definitely benefit Azerbaijan in a long term.
