Damn, that’s a huge banner!
Well, he could, he just really doesn’t want to.
I hate Bezos as much as the next guy but this is just a waste of a perfectly good giant banner. Couldn’t they come up with something funny?
Many private jet will fly for this circus. But remember in Davos they said that working class people driking cola from plastic straw are problem!

Why should he pay more taxes? He pays as much as required by the law. Maybe Italy (and other countres) should change their tax laws and close all the legal loopholes that enable tax avoidance.
We don’t want to directly benefit by doing business with you! We want to indirectly benefit by you paying more taxes and allowing a portion of that to trickle down to us at some point in the future!!!

Venice was the biggest shithole I ever visited. I wouldn’t even go there again if I got paid for it.
Bezos pays his taxes, in the USA, which is where he draws his salary.
He has no obligation to pay personal taxes in the EU unless he draws a salary there, which he doesn’t.
Bezos is not an Italian.
Also, he fought Trump hard first term and the left of America and the world hated him.

Your average person has heard that this controversy is about: overcrowding, polution, lack of equity, poverty, Israel, Iran, Trump, the ecology of the Venice canals, and many other things.
But consensus was reached and all stakeholders had their voices heard, and this banner was the final output of all that talk. Now… oh, it’s about tax! Well, rich people always try to avoid taxes, thinks the casual observer.
So many beautiful corners of the world Baldy McRichman could tie the knot at. To specifically go where you’re clearly not wanted is such a dick move.
