Boo hoo. Let me play the worlds saddest song on the worlds 285-year old violin…. oh wait.

It’s a funny thing, but I was just commenting in another thread about how the police almost never seem interested in helping people recover stolen equipment. I’m a TV cameraman and my colleagues and I often carry high value gear around with us. Both individuals and rental companies suffer thefts, and because it is specialist and difficult to sell on, it’s not unknown for us to figure out who has it and where it is.

I have never seen the police be anything but utterly, utterly useless, sometimes googling on their phones for reasons to do nothing.

I want to know what this guy said to get them interested!

If I took an item like that outside the house, it wouldn’t leave my person. I’d wan’t a body guard. Also I would be very much on my guard.

Police advise not to approach the suspect as he may use violins.
