Albumin supports cell integrity, from what I understand. It’s incredibly vital to very badly injured people and those fighting infections. I’m not a physician; I gained this information when sitting vigil for my fiancé in 1999 who ultimately succumbed to stage 4 cancer and sepsis. I remember one of Jim’s physicians telling me – and his chin quivered a bit when he said it – that Jim’s albumin level was incompatible with life, the lowest he had ever seen. I hope and pray this albumin saves many lives and that these fine soldiers get to see peace and joy again.
Amazing how something so unknown to most of us can mean the difference between life and death in a wounded soldier. This is important.
