      Why Flanders ? All Belgium is like this.

      Filled with families who spend their who life money to renovate it.

      Then EU create energy efficiency laws and suddenly the hoise for retirement is loosing value.

      Then Belgium government comes and taxes them for whatever reasons.

      The kids see this and think “let’s buy ETF and Bitcoin instead”.

      Time to plaster greige crepi all over it, put black window frames in, put a velux in the roof, and place the heat pump right in front of the building.

      It is not stereotypical. It is so real. Even here, in Leuven. So many streets are just rows of those awful single family, narrow houses.
