Grazie 🙏

When I get home, I’ll check if I still have some of the bottles from last winter
This shop seems to ship to Australia:

Let me check I would love to help dm me
This stuff is cheap, but still overpriced.
Not worth sending it around the world.
Make it yourself, from wine, fresh orange juice and all the spices you like.
I did this once, we steamed the label off and put it in a kitschy frame to keep the memory
You can buy it on Amazon maybe they will ship to Australia
What about making your own..it’s not that difficult and you will find recipes on the web.
Might be a nice gesture….after all, it was an accident.
it feels good to see people reaching out to help someone to whom those small things matter a lot. 😊
How is it with shipping to Australia? The easy part is to find a bottle 🙂
I do have a bottle of this one if you want :)[bottle](https://ibb.co/jZ4gWkGV)
If no one can help you get a new bottle:
You can make Glühwein really easy yourself (it prob. tastes way better that way), i know it’s really not the same but you can make it with your partner on the day of your anniversary.
Considering the memory of the bottle: You can try to remove the label by soaking the bottle in water and carefully pull it off the bottle, let it dry and glue it on another bottle of wine, which you can use to make your own glühwein.
Here’s a simple, yet tasty recipe i regularly use:
1 litre redwine
2 cinnamon sticks
10 cloves
2 star anise
3 oranges
40g (brown) sugar (you can use more if it’s not sweet enough for you)
50ml rum (optional)
Pour the red wine in a pot, add the spices and put in on low heat. Wash the oranges and cut them in slices, add them to the red wine (maybe keep a few slices as decoration for your cup). Keep it on a low temp for ~ 10 minutes, add the sugar and the (optional) rum. Stir very well and “cook” for another 5 minutes.
I fear that you might be cursed and the Laufer Bimberla will visit you this night.
Could you find a tutorial on YT and make your homemade version of it? My coworker in Germany do it all the time. It will create new memories for sure 😊
You can probably buy it on line. I see that brand all the time during Christmastime. May have to wait until then.
The only correct thing to do with a bottle of Glühwein
Did you check if Aldi has it in AUS? At least I know they used to sell Weihnachtsprinten… but of course, it’s a seasonal product.
Might be easier than handling customs for alcoholic beverages (and the very real risk it breaks again in transit… :()
If no one sends you one, dm me in November and I will send you a crate. Then you can keep one and drink the rest. I doubt it’ll make much of a difference in regards to shipping costs and possibly even with customs.
Just ask in backpacker online forums and groups for someone who’s coming to Australia to an airport near you. You’ll get your Glühwein and you can give em something nice or just pay them.
What about this?

How sticky is your floor now?
Actually, I don’t think it’s worth your hassle – too easy to make yourself! 🙂

Can translate with ChatGPT or something, but there isn’t much witchcraft involved 🙂
Our local Aldi in Maryborough Vic had very similar Glühwein also from Nürnberg. We were laughing at how the lady on the label looked like Taylor Swift.
That’s a 2,99 EUR (5.33 AUSD) bottle, though the sentimental value might be higher.
My advice as an avid Glühwein-enjoyer:
Make Your own Glühwein in two easy steps.
1) learn german
2) follow this link https://blogs.transparent.com/german/gluhwein-rezept-english-mulled-wine/
