For English readers, I reckon Andrew Mango’s Ataturk or Lord Kinross’s Ataturk biographies

I got two books like the one on the left. They were made for 75th year anniversary of the republic. Both were made by ministry of culture and is very well made, featuring never seen before photos of Ataturk etc
It’s weird to know that those who ruled us loved Ataturk once, and generally were competent people who loved our culture and could create great works of art. Reading the books i felt like i was reading books from an alternate universe Turkey.
We have been living for so long under AKP that my idea of Turkey has fundemantally changed with one i had in my childhood. The past is a different country
