History has showed us time and time again: extremism flourishes in crisis but never stands the test of time.

And the party who was responsible for the crisis in the first place, New Democracy, is now polling in first place. People never learn.

Europeans voting for (far) right parties and ask why their country suck. You are practicqlly giving blowjobs to millionaires and billionaires. What a “DEMOCRACY” LOL

PASOK is back? At a low level, but wow, I haven’t expected that. Looks like, the left was splitting into more and more pieces and now reconsolidates.

when thinking of the crisis both main parties were responsible and the general Greek political culture, following the motto: Ask not what you can do for your country, ask what your country can do for you.

The 7th party shown in the pic is a neo-nazi one my dude … -_- we are so democratic that we banned a literal party so now 3 new nazi parties appeared…

    9. the_mighty_peacock on

…And ND and PASOK that caused the crisis in the first place are once again at the top.

That’s how you treat fascist scum.
You don’t try to appease them, you don’t try to fight them with their own weapons and babbling after them.

Wait wasnt Syriza the second force in Greek politics? I get that I have taken a break from focusing on this but wtf happened?? Even Yaniss party is ahead now.

See, there is this myth that banning a radical party will make them more popular. But that is a lie. In weimar Germany, when the NSDAP was banned in the 20ies, support for the party collapsed. Only when Hitler got released again did they gain successes. This one here in Greece shows something similiar.

Turns out, if you do not have an active organisation using state funds to spread lies and disinformation, you do not have so many lies and disinformation spread.

ND and PASOK both have loans of almost 1 billion euros and they are the top 2 LOL

It’s not true that all neo Nazis are banned, some are even members of New democracy, the ruling party.

    15. cangaroo_hamam on

This is a bleak sight. The ruling party, 31.3%, represents deep state corruption, manipulated media and justice, Tempi train crash and coverup, ~12000 needless deaths in hospitals during the COVID ear, phone surveillance (wiretapping) of journalists and political (and military) personnel, insider leaking and trading of voter information (Asimakopoulou scandal), unprovoked police brutality against protestors, covert propaganda teams with government funding (Omada Alithias), the recent humongous farm subsidies scandal and the 400 milliion euros fine by the EU… It’s a bottomless pit. Truly sad.
