There will be no more banking secrecy, — Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko
The government has submitted a bill that will allow Ukraine to join the European SEPA payment system.
What the bill provides for:
➡️ The National Bank and all banks will be obliged to transfer information to the tax authority about the opening and closing of accounts, the movement of funds and other financial transactions of clients.
➡️ The ability to make transfers in euros between 36 European countries: quickly, without additional fees and according to clearly established rules.
➡️ Bringing Ukrainian legislation into line with EU law: in particular, in the field of preventing money laundering and terrorist financing.

I am not familiar with this subject but it seems like this is a big step in the right direction regarding the battle against corruption and the path towards the EU. If it is what I think it is, it really shows commitment towards becoming a modernized European state

Map is outdated. Serbia, Montenegro, Albania and NM are members of SEPA.

You are not allowed to move your money abroad from Ukrainian accounts so this effectively will not change much
