What does Vance’s drug use has to do with Norwegian tourist though?

Lol, isnt the ‘drug use’ they are claiming about a hand carved tobacco pipe?
Meanwhile elon was in a k-hole at every briefing or w/e he was at.

If you use more drugs than Elon and Don Jr you are not allowed into the state.

Hahaha, yeah no. If I have to keep the number of an attorney on hand to travel somewhere, I ain’t going.

I’m confused, I thought they wanted more white people; especially Norwegians, to go to America. So, no, now?
>Mikkelsen – not to be confused with the famous Danish actor of the same name – told Nordlys that upon questioning by authorities, he admitted to having tried marijuana once in Germany and once in Mexico, but that he didn’t feel it was relevant because it was legal in both places. It’s also legal in nearly half of the U.S., but not at the federal level.
>USA TODAY reached out to CBP and attempted to reach Mikkelsen for additional comment on the incident and reported discrepancies.
>”Claims that Mads Mikkelsen was denied entry because of a JD Vance meme are FALSE,” Department of Home Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement. “Mikkelsen was refused entry into the U.S. for his admitted drug use.”

I always thought that pretty much in every country it was posession rather than use that was illegal.

Saying that him admitting to making a wooden pipe = “admitted drug use” is a **HUGE** stretch.

He got denied because he tried Marijuana a couple of times in countries where it’s legal? Holy fuck, what a mess.

According to a thread on the Norwegian sub, he was admitting to legal Marijuana use in new Mexico. Since this was federal authorities, that made it illegal in their eyes, or some such. Which I guess makes kind of sense even if it’s weird.
The reason this was newsworthy, was that they commented on the memes, in some fashion. Which is also weird.

Every tourist to the US should have JD Vance meme as a screensaver on their phone to see how the immigration customs react 🤷

Why does the US government think making a wooden pipe is a reason to not allow a person in the country? If you taken drugs in the past which a large part of the population has, what does that have to do with entering the country? This just screams to the rest of the world do not travel to the US for pleasure or business. I can’t believe how many billions they are losing in business and holiday travel so unnecessarily and this isn’t just this year. It for many years to come.

Ok sure, let’s say it was because he tried weed in Germany and Mexico a couple of times, that still doesn’t explain the cruelty.
They strip searched him, took a blood sample (!), fingerprints and facial scan.
Then locked him up for 5 hours without any food or water and ultimately put him back on a plane to Norway.
If his “drug use” was an issue, why not just deny him entry and put him back on the next plane immediately?
Why humiliate and terrorise this guy first, just to then turn him away anyway?

Regardless of where you go, border cops provide the worst experience of international travel.
It’s a great job for the officious and xenophobic, as arbitrary irrational enforcement is perfectly legal and even rewarded.
Still, it seems to be getting worse when entering the US because the worst of those behaviors are being even more actively encouraged by the regime. Petty aggressiveness makes the staff feel like defenders of the fatherland.
I don’t understand why anyone today would choose to visit the US for pleasure. If the US rolls out a red carpet for you, it will be because your blood is on it.

Let’s be real. He was denied for the meme. The EXCUSE is that it’s drug related.

Well if it’s drug use then that’s not unique. Crimes of moral turpitude have been denying entry to people for decades before Trump.
Not saying I agree with it, but if true it has nothing to do with the wannabe tough guy in charge of the American executive branch.

This is bullshit. He admitted using drugs that are legal in many US states. Does this mean you can’t travel in between states? They are just looking for a reason to justify their actions
