The only issue is that a country fighting an ongoing war is not allowed in. So will Ukraine fight on to take back what is theirs? Or will they accept their losses, kinda like Finland did?
Yep. The importance of Zelenskys strategy in forging these deals and alliances now shouldn’t be underestimated for the secure future of Ukraine
I mean Ukraine is basically NATO, using their weapons, the most experienced, the most battle proof, the biggest army. It would be super dumb for NATO to not accept Ukraine, win-win situation.
2030: Ukraine’s path to membership is irreversible!
2035: Ukraine’s path to membership is irreversible!
2040: Ukraine’s path to membership is irreversible!
>Ukraine’s path to membership is irreversible
irreversible infinite
We have heard this line before. The US said they would never give Ukraine, Himars, ATACM, or F-16s. There are so many things that we are told that are impossible, and yet, here they are.
Ukraine will be NATO.
You might have noticed that EU is handing out a lot of cards to Ukraine. A €150 billion investment fund to exclusively produce weapons in Ukraine both for the EU and for Ukraine.
In other words, in 5-10 years A LOT of EU military production capability will be inside of Ukraine.
The EU will basically have no other choice but to go ahead with offering EU membership. It should be noted that the mutual defense clause of the EU will compels European countries to defend ‘by all means’ while NATO article 5 says basically ‘do something, anything’.
So, with the EU locked into Ukraine… NATO has a choice, or basically the USA… either continue blocking Ukraine’s accession and see the entire EU declare NATO obsolete… or in an effort for the USA to retain some control, allow it.
€150 billion of investment in Ukraine is going to create a lot of factories etc.
