I would be all for it, and if this comes to vote, I do not think the super rich stand a chance
The heirs did not work nearly enough for getting this money, and I think a tax on this is absolutely fine.
Strange, because the UK “exodus” hasn’t really collapsed the country or anything.
where will they go ? ossified wealth that is kept as ego boosting token has only downsides for a country …

50% tax is too much. If I was superrich I would transfer my money elsewhere.
But I imagine even if they pass such a law, there is still gonna be plenty of ways to evade this new tax, there will be an additional financial scheme on top of existing schemes that allow Swiss and people from other countries to keep their money in Switzeland and little to no tax.

I have a wild idea. What if every country did this? Where will they run to? 3rd world countries? They won’t have the precious luxuries and all of the *stuff* there. What are they going to do? Invest in the country to make it better? Deal with 3rd world country problems? Just suck it up and pay the tax? Move to dictatorship countries like Russia or NK?
Every time news about the possibility of making the super rich share some pocket change with the rest of us come out they always warn us of the super rich exodus like are we supposed to be scared of that or something?
But you know if all the countries start doing that and the rich keep running away we may eventually be capable of containing them all in one single place, maybe then without them we can finally improve the world.

Sometimes I hear these people and I start supporting a 100% ingeritance tax. If you are super annoying and whiny it should be a 110% inheritance tax.
