Looks like the world leaders’ diplomatic charm school is in full session!

Call Trump daddy or call Putin daddy, it’s Europe’s own doing putting us in a position where those are the choices. Trump has only turned subtext into text.

I want a world leader to call him a moron, to his face aswell & on camera

    4. Pint_o_Bovril on

They’re manipulating him. And its great to see, because it seems to work so easily.

Good for those leaders. Trump needs to be aware of the fact China Russia and North Korea Iran all support each other in one way or the other. NATO is all Trump has and now is realizing that the Russian Government and China and so on and so on speak bad about America everyday. They state that Trump is weak and blah blah blah. Trump maybe noticing that Russia is a threat to the World.

Sycophancy…. I had to look that up as I thought it was some fancy piss.

More like… NATO leaders have learned how to get Donald Trump to fall in line with this one simple trick.

They understand he operates on the same reverse psychology as a five year old.

Most of them probably have shares or ownership in weapon manufacturers. An increase, means a bender day for them.

If Putin can do it… we should do it better. It’s politics.

Which is what the American public should do concerning universal healthcare or higher taxes for the ultra-rich. It is so easy to control someone with an ego like his, you just have to leave your pride at the door.

    11. I wonder how Rutte is doing, if I had to go to a school meeting where the only solution was that I kiss the school bully’s dad’s ass infront of all the other parents, even if everyone knew I didn’t mean a word of it, I’d still feel like shit forever.

I understand everyone who wants this orange child be put in his place. I understand that everyone wants to see him humiliated and exposed for a complete fraud that he is in front of an international audience. I get that.

But this is counterproductive and better for us to let all this steam out here in Reddit and **actually hope** that our politicians won’t do the same. Their job is to navigate this insane situation where most powerful country in the world has a vindictive narcissist at the wheel with the backing of a Republican majority Congress. As horrible as it sounds – he is not going anywhere for at least 3,5 more years and then there is good chance of someone like JD winning the next election to extend this “America first” thing (DT may end up paying the price for eating all that McD sooner than 3 years, then we end up with JD by default).

So as much as it hurts me to say it – our politicians will end up getting better deals for EU if they shower him with meaningless (for us) compliments and praise. I think I went over all stages of grief and now I ended up with conclusion, that Europe only has an option to be pragmatic until we figure out our own problems, become strong again (militarily) and get rid of foreign influence (Russian money buying politicians in more vulnerable countries, China overtaking crucial infrastructure and so on).

Stay strong my friends, we will survive it.

Don’t worry guys, they are just manipulating him but doing exactly what he tells them to do and thanking him for it.

Limp-dicks. They should have done what China did: respond in kind.

      France

Backed the Pro-Slavery side of the US Civil War. Europe has a history of picking the wrong side and then the population not even being able to conceive it could ever happen. Kinda like what led up to the Vietnam War.

Always remember we make our own monsters.

      Lol! Nice spin Guardian

Let’s all pretend that they didn’t act like little bitches when they met him

They’re politicians, they’re used to do disgusting things, this push the limits though…

Mary Trumps suggestions seems the best: band together to call him out. There is strength in numbers and he needs to be called out constantly, otherwise he will keep taking and literally turn into Putin.

The USA wanted other NATO members to pay more, and indeed to pay american, since Bush.

Not a single US president wanted to get out of NATO. Not even Trump.

NATO is influence, NATO is having their boots on your ground, NATO is a big obedient market for their defence AND TECH industries.

They only want you to pay for more.

This NATO summit ended with NATO members agreeing to pay for more. Well, sort of since we’ll find a way to put classify whatever we want as “defence spending”.
But once again Trump did not clearly explain what Article 5 means to him and the USA.
Everyone’s pretending but we haven’t done jack shit here.

Our representatives really could have spared us the humiliation fetish.

Nato leader Rutte receives $13.5 million in commissions now, which is quite reasonable for what he’d achieved. EU will spend billions more on U.S military goods and services.
