As per the CPI calculator:
* Inflation May 2021 – May 2023: 14.98%
* Inflation May 2023 – May 2025: 4.37%
The one off payments should have stopped last year. It’s a pretty reasonable time to stop them now.
They shouldn’t have been part of Budget 2025 but there was an election.
We are spending the money elsewhere, it’s going great and it’s definitely sustainable
